Robert Connolly - General Director

Bob Connolly’s credentials include an EdD in Leadership, an MBA in International Business and Finance, and a Master's Degree in International Affairs, complemented by strong work experience including project management, financial modeling, business unit reviews and budgeting, consulting, international business and market development.  He has demonstrated his ability working in diverse groups to start and complete projects.  Besides Vietnam, he has also traveled and worked in Ireland, Mexico, Hong Kong, China, Europe and Russia. He has worked in the Mortgage Banking and Electronics Manufacturing Industries. 

Dr. Connolly is originally from Omaha, Nebraska and completed his bachelor’s degree in Journalism and International Affairs at Iowa State University in 1985.  He completed his MA in 1988 at the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University with concentrations in International Economics, Economic Development, International Law, and US Foreign Policy.  In 1994 he completed his MBA at the Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina with concentrations in Finance and International Business. In 2016 he completed his Doctorate of Education in Leadership through Creighton University with a dissertation entitled "Barriers to the Adoption of Online Education at Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City."

He moved to Vietnam in December, 2004 and began teaching English. By mid-year 2005 he had begun teaching business classes with a particular strength in teaching Accounting and Finance to Bachelor’s and MBA candidates. He has taught classes at schools such as International University (VNU-HCM), Banking University, and RMIT. He also presents management seminars for corporate clients such as Viet Nam Airlines and Mobifone.

Charles Wilson - Deputy Director

Chuck Wilson’s credentials include an MBA in Finance and a Master of Science in Management, both from Marylhurst University in Oregon, USA, complimented by strong work experience in the Educational, Governmental and Private sectors.

He has worked at The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington, USA, and Marylhurst University in Marylhurst, Oregon USA. He has been a Senior Field Manager for the US Census Bureau for both the 1980 and 2000 US Census Count supervising over 4000 employees.

He came to Vietnam in 1996 as part of his MBA program and signed a contract with The Saigon Times Group, which he implemented and continued for 3 years. He has been instrumental in the startup of several schools in Vietnam and successfully managed an MBA program with over 400 graduates. He has worked with several American University programs to come to Vietnam.

He is a successful Corporate Trainer having trained clients such as ACE Life, MobiPhone, Ministry of Natural Resources and Vietnam Airlines. He is and has been a Lecturer at VNU-International University, Banking University, Hanoi School of Business and RMIT. He has lectured at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in subjects such as Marketing, Human Resource Management, Leadership, Knowledge Management, Macro Economics, Micro Economics, International Economics, Introduction to Business and Essentials of Management.

Brian O'Reilly has extensive experience in various leadership and management roles including launching and managing MBA programs and the reform of state owned enterprises.

In 2003 he launched and managed the first fully international MBA Program at RMIT International University Vietnam and has recently launched his third Australian MBA program here in Vietnam. His experience also includes strategic change management, organizational restructuring, project management, developing and delivering training modules, facilitating workshops, business process re-engineering, and business planning.

Brian has fifteen years experience in civil engineering, managing projects in road design (urban and rural), road construction, building construction and managing and supervising urban road maintenance programs. He is an accredited corporate trainer and has developed and delivered training programs in Sri LankaThailand and Vietnam.

Prior to moving to Vietnam, Brian has lived and worked in Australia and Ireland. He holds a Master of Business Administration in addition to his civil engineering qualifications.

He is an active member of the local business community. His business associations include being the Vice Chairman of AusCham (The Australian Chamber of Commerce - Vietnam) and the Chairman of AusCham’s Vietnam Business Forum (VBF) committee. Brian is also actively involved with the VBF - Education and Training Working Group and in the VBF Transition Project.

In addition Brian is actively involved in the Asia Pacific Irish Business Forum (APIBF) and also held the position of Honorary Secretary on the Board of EuroCham (The European Chamber of Commerce).
